Each committee or team has an adult sponsor to supervise or take
care of "grown-up" things like driving long distances and
reserving buses. However, all other responsibility is on
the student leader of each team and its members.
Please see the lower left panel for related links, such as the
2006 Lebanon BEST team roster.
Administrative Team: Create and
collect membership applications, send letters to those who
qualify as members, enforce by-laws, solve team issues.
Includes a President presiding over the entire team and two
Presidents (often referred to as a Prime Minister) in charge of
construction and publicity.
Vice
Presidents are elected by their respective presidents. To
ensure a lasting BEST legacy, presidents especially consider
candidates in the freshman or sophomore class. This allows
younger members to gain experience as leaders so they can take
over responsibilities once the presidents graduate.
Secretaries are optional for all
presidents if the president feels he or she needs help typing
documents, recording events, or sending out letters. |
